If something hurts
The pain check, and when to stop.
Tap It hurt during a set. You'll be asked where it hurts, how bad it is from 1 to 10, and what it feels like. Then you get a suggestion:
- Mild ache (3 or less): carry on lighter. The next set starts one weight step down. Stop if it gets worse.
- Moderate (4 to 6): skip that exercise for today.
- Severe (7 or more), sharp, or pins and needles: stop the workout. If it doesn't settle in a day or two, get it checked by a physio or GP.
You can always choose a different option. Your PT sees what you reported, and anything serious tells them straight away.
Chest pain, dizziness, or feeling faint or unwell? Use the red button at the top: stop, sit down, and if it doesn't settle within a few minutes, call 999. For anything else that worries you, call NHS 111.
